Jackson Square Properties Forms a Joint Venture with Friedkin Reality Group to Acquire a Class B Apartment Community in San Jose, CA

San Jose, CA August 11, 2009 – Jackson Square Properties, a real estate investment firm, announced today it has formed a joint venture with San Francisco-based Friedkin Reality Group to acquire a garden-style apartment community totaling 226 units in the heart of Silicon Valley. Avalon at River Oaks was built in the early 1990’s and enjoys a strong infill location in Santa Clara County, CA.
 “The quadrant of San Jose is considered to be the most desirable markets in Silicon Valley,” said Chad Bungcayao with Jackson Square Properties. “We believe in the long term fundamentals of this submarket, and this region, and we are delighted to grow our portfolio with a quality asset such as Avalon at River Oaks.”
Avalon at River Oaks is located at 373 River Oaks Circle and was built in 1990. The 226 unit community is situated on 8.18 acres and totals 26 buildings. Located in the  “Innovation Triangle” region of Silicon Valley and is located less than a half a mile from the world headquarters of Cisco and less than three miles from Sun Microsystems, Intel, Applied Materials, Tivo and Lockheed Martin.
The property will be rebranded as Fountains at River Oaks.
